Prayer

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

— Philippians 4:6-7

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

— Romans 12:12

“For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

— Romans 8:24-26

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

— Matthew 18:20

Through prayer, God strengthens both our relationship with Him and our relationships with others.

Even if you are in a place right now where prayer seems hopeless, reach out and ask for prayer anyway... God can truly use anything - even our desperation and our pain - to bring about healing.

He comforts our pain, He provides strength in our weakness, and He gifts us with peace that transcends all understanding.

We can rest in the comforting love of our community and our Heavenly Father.
